Odd Blog Job at Beeb?

Auntie can be weird sometimes. Recently the BBC started a ‘proper’ blog on the News website. It’s great and very ‘bloggy’ - they did it well - and it looks nice too.

But recently I saw this odd job ad: (which closes today)

The weird thing about this is that they’re seeking an ‘Editor’ for the ‘Editor’s Blog’ - and the ‘SM2′ bit means that it pays VERY WELL. SM = Senior Management.

Now, call me cynical, but currently there are ALOT of people losing their jobs at the BBC, either by choice or by force in order to create alot of cost savings that are needed due to a rather large debt left by the previous DG.

So, advertising a highly paid (and if you ask me) totally unnecessary role (don’t they get it??) seems to leave a strange taste here.

I must say I am very impressed by the ability of WordPress to go and import all the posts from my blogger account (used at kosso.com) to this blog!

There seems to have been few glitches - and images aren’t there (but that’s not WP’s fault)  - but it’s weird seeing all my old post again.

Hello there. Just remembered I had this WP account.

I’m busy putting together a system on my server to support my blog and all the other bits and bobs I am currently building, so this could be a temporary home for now.

I also plan on showing a bit of leg on the OPML + RSS system I am putting together - it’s just a question of *which* (orf my many) domains to host in under…

Hmm.. treedia.com would do it… or maybe feedgang.com .. or feedhive.com

All of those would be suitable :))
