My first interview about the BlogHUD for IN THE GRID magazine

Last night, an avatar called Miller Copeland came over to ‘The RSS Platform‘ on Second Life to interview me about the blogHUD for his new magazine about Second Life called IN THE GRID!

We had a great long chat about stuff, which you can read over here.

Miller has been a publishing industry veteran for 15 years, so it will be really interesting to see how this new publication comes together.

Thanks man!!(or woman?!?) lol.

Are Apple and Dell banned from Virgin flights?

I just heard on the latest episode of TWIT that Virgin, Korean Airlines and Quantas are banning Dell and Apple laptops from their flights!!!!!!!!! (Funny that now Dell are an advertiser on the Twit podcast now ;) )

WTF!!!?? Does anyone else have more info on this? I really did not enjoy having to pack my MacBookPro into my check-in luggage on my last trip to the States.

Please say this is not true (I don’t even think Virgin have a power adapter for the new magnetic MacBookPros)

Apple’s (brushed aluminium) handcuffs

Unninovate reports on one of the new ‘features’ of iTunes 7.0

Bend over everyone, Steve’s got an upgrade for you. ;)

Tech Trends

According to Google Trends (an interesting site I had forgotten about until Dave Winer just linked to it), Podcasting is just as popular as Blogging ;) (But blogging has been around for longer)

Also, RSS is way more popular than ATOM. (It’s easier imho)

Who is this ‘kosso’ anyway?

I am a 'Createc'. A creative technologist, entrepreneur/ hacker/ geek. Worked on building things on the web for over 12 years.

Used to work at BBC News interactive and created the publishing and delivery systems for video news to get distributed on huge screens in major railway stations around the country.

I left the BBC to become CTO / sole-lead architect/developer at podcast.com for three years.

I have now left them to build a start up a new system called 'Phreadz', which is a 'Social Multimedia Conversation Network', integrating everything that is 'V.I.T.A.L' to us on the web. Video, Images, Text, Audio and Links.

I built the whole thing my myself and will soon be looking for funds to expand the team and system to make it available to launch.

There are currently happy and helpful 500 (closed) beta testers on the system so far and one client of a white-labelled solution.

Phreadz has a business model, which is already working.
