I love free hotel wifi. But I wish it was faster!

    I saw your twitter remarks regarding wireless, high-speed internet.

    Cingular provides great coverage in large cities and is quite fast. If you get a Samsung Blackjack (or other smartphone) there is an unlimited data plan that will allow you to use the blackjack as your modem and get a reasonably fast connection. Be sure to add the “Smartphone Connect Unlimited” feature for only $20 for this connectivity.

    Verizon will sell you an EVDO Card and/or capable phone. I’m not sure the price of their plan but I’m pretty sure that it is more than cingular’s $20…

    Thanks. I have now heard that Sprint will do an EVDO Rev-A data card with no need for a voice plan too.
