As the whole world knows by now, Jaiku got bought by Google yesterday. So, in celebration of that and all the cunning mashups and applications we’ll no doubt see on Jaiku, I present a simple script to post to Jaiku using PHP, cUrl and XML-RPC:

Hey, I made a PHP app that 3 way syncs Twitter, Jaiku, and Facebook. It is at http://downloads.thisisnotajoke.com You are welcome to steal my code to use in your thingy.

example:
$jaiku = new Jaiku($username, $userkey);
$jaiku->setPresence(’Foobar!’);
But it also has a full API implementation to retrieve presences and feeds.
$presence = $jaiku->getMyPresence
For the most part, the API matches my perl module for which the documentation is here: http://search.cpan.org/~rickm/Net-Jaiku-0.0501/lib/Net/Jaiku.pm
The perl module is a little more mature as I’m not primarily a PHP coder. I need to get it up to date and into the google-code project at http://netjaiku.googlecode.com
