Getting a facelift and meeting a ‘virtual god’

Yesterday I gave the blogHUD a little facelift, which was cool and bizarre that I should meet Cory Ondrejka at Cory Doctorow’s leaving do last night (in ‘MeatSpace – that’s the ‘real world’, folks 😉 ).

Cory Ondrejka is one of the ‘gods’ of Second Life [VP of Product Development at Linden Lab] – He also wrote a version of RoadRash! – Here’s a podcast from ITConversations with Cory talking at Accelerating Change 2004.

Very much looking forward to continue that a conversation we were all having in the cab! 🙂

Also, congratulations to Yoz and co. and his brand new baby! Cory Doctorow said the baby was ‘firing Cute-ons!’ heheh.

Why, thanks very much! Cory is right: Dexter emits dangerous quantities of cuton radiation. I’m glad I’m not the only one who senses it, though obviously I may be somewhat biased.

Um – did we get to meet yesterday? Forgive me, it’s all something of a blur… and am distressed to find that I missed out on chatting to Mr Ondrejka yesterday, if only as an opportunity to apologise for rambling drunkenly at him at a party in San Diego. Feh.

feel free to ramble drunkenly to me next time.

I also wanted to congratulate you on the funniest screencast voice over – ever.

Who is this ‘kosso’ anyway?

I am a 'Createc'. A creative technologist, entrepreneur/ hacker/ geek. Worked on building things on the web for over 12 years.

Used to work at BBC News interactive and created the publishing and delivery systems for video news to get distributed on huge screens in major railway stations around the country.

I left the BBC to become CTO / sole-lead architect/developer at for three years.

I have now left them to build a start up a new system called 'Phreadz', which is a 'Social Multimedia Conversation Network', integrating everything that is 'V.I.T.A.L' to us on the web. Video, Images, Text, Audio and Links.

I built the whole thing my myself. I programmed every line of code and positioned every pixel. I'm looking forward to attracting an hiring new members of the team to help me out! :)

There are currently over 1000 happy and helpful beta testers on the system so far and one client of a white-labelled solution.
