Samsung WiBro with RSS button!

This WiMAX enabled device from Samsung has an app called ‘My Feeds’ in it, which reads your RSS feed subscriptions. Also supports OPML import/export. Not podcasts yet though. But a great big RSS button! ๐Ÿ™‚

UPDATE: I think it’s hilarious that some people question the authenticity of this image. I really have better things to do than to PShop phones ๐Ÿ˜‰

There’s a better photo on the post above with the rest of the original photos of it, with shots of the application it kicks off.

UPDATE: Peter Rojas from Engadget has picked up on this, as has Dave on Scripting News, who has rather less to say apart from making cheeky graphics with punctuation ;p (_!_)

UPDATE2: Peter Rojas has confirmed the model as the SPH-M8110

This is interesting. I know the Sony Ericsson k800 also has RSS syndication feature, but not a dedicated button. Seems like this will become a standard feature in the coming year or so.

The Samsung Blackjack also has an RSS reader with OPML support.

I suppose this could be nice, but how is it any different from installing Google Reader on your phone, or going to Bloglines Mobile on your phone browser? Does it have a compelling UI, or other interesting features?

Who is this ‘kosso’ anyway?

I am a 'Createc'. A creative technologist, entrepreneur/ hacker/ geek. Worked on building things on the web for over 12 years.

Used to work at BBC News interactive and created the publishing and delivery systems for video news to get distributed on huge screens in major railway stations around the country.

I left the BBC to become CTO / sole-lead architect/developer at podcast.com for three years.

I have now left them to build a start up a new system called 'Phreadz', which is a 'Social Multimedia Conversation Network', integrating everything that is 'V.I.T.A.L' to us on the web. Video, Images, Text, Audio and Links.

I built the whole thing my myself. I programmed every line of code and positioned every pixel. I'm looking forward to attracting an hiring new members of the team to help me out! :)

There are currently over 1000 happy and helpful beta testers on the system so far and one client of a white-labelled solution.
